A Castle Adventure ~ Omaha Family Photographer~

I was thrilled to do a family photo shoot at the beautiful Joslyn Castle. We ended up with a cloudy, dreary day and had to chase the natural light around the castle but we had fun in the beautiful setting.

We are quickly approaching the holiday and sessions are wrapping up for the year as well as us awaiting the arrival of our 4th child in the next 3 weeks or so.

Engagement Turned Bridals ~Omaha Engagement Photographer~

I know that Ashley doesn't know this but I was SO nervous when she asked me to do her engagement photos. You see, Ashley is an AMAZING photographer from Columbus, Nebraska. Her newborn photography is stunning. I have been thinking about their session obsessively since the day she asked me in November. We met online among a group of photographers and found we had an appreciation for each others work. I was honored she asked me to take their photos.

This fun and awesome couple turned their engagement photos however into a Bridal session when they surprised their family and friends by getting married at Thanksgiving when everyone was together.

It was freezing out the night we met downtown at the Gene Leahy mall where he proposed to her. Ashley was a trooper braving the 20 degree wind chills in just her dress. You can't even tell she is cold in the photos. After photos in their wedding attire (don't you LOVE her vintage dress) we took some more traditional photos as well. It was so hard to choose which to post for the preview.

I had so many to choose from and I'm not even done with the session yet. These are some of my favorites so far. I hope you enjoy!

Growing Up ~ Omaha Child Photographer~

I am so lucky to be able to photograph this little one as she grows since she is my great niece. She is such a doll and I love seeing her milestones unfold in front of the camera.

These were Miss Bella's 3 month photos (albeit past the 3 month mark). I can't wait for her 6 month photographs.

My MOST difficult Clients ;). ~ Omaha Child Photographer ~

I know, you are probably thinking, "how rude"...but I can say it because it is my own children ;). I had a cancellation last Saturday so we decided to take the kids down to Old Market for photos. Let me tell you, I think my kids are adorable, sweet, funny and all that good stuff but at these ages and when they are used to me with my camera they are not interested in active photo participation. Sure, I got some good shots but shots of them but group shots...NO. I was hoping to have a nice photo for a Christmas card of all of them together...it didn't happen. I am not giving up though and plan to drag them out again very soon, determined to get a good Christmas card shot of the entire group.

Here are the few I got that I am somewhat happy with. I hope you enjoy my sweet kidlets. I know I do.

Gorgeous November Day ~ Omaha Family Photographer~

It could not be more beautiful today for our early 9:00am family shoot. This is one of the easiest families to photograph. Besides the fact that they are an adorable family they were so easy going. The kids were perfect angels and up for any rock sitting, tree limb sitting we introduced them to.
